Like the Modern, the Bronx Museum is highlighting gifts in a recent acquisitions show. This one is devoted to six young Cuban artists, all of whom take an oblique, unanswering approach ot the kind of political subjects that fired up artist of an earlier genration, many of whom left Cuba.
Work by Tania Bruguera and Carlos Estévez look particularly good in this exhibition, organized by the museum’s senior curator, Marysol Nieves.
